This page explains exactly what happens to your information when you use this website. It is short because we collect very little.
We don’t use cookies
This website sets no cookies. It runs no advertising trackers, no pixels, and no third-party scripts that follow you between sites. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Pages load only files served from this website. Nothing is requested from an outside service while you browse.
What we collect when you contact us
If you fill in the form on our contact page, we receive what you typed into it:
- Your name
- Your business name, if you give one
- Your email address
- Your phone or WhatsApp number, if you give one
- Which service you are interested in, if you select one
- Your message
We use this to reply to you and to discuss the work you are asking about. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list — we do not run one.
Your IP address
When you submit the form, your IP address is briefly held in memory so we can limit how many messages can be sent from one connection in a minute. This is how we keep automated spam out. It is not stored in a database and is not used to identify you.
Our hosting provider also records standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, as almost all web hosting does. If a message fails to send, its contents are written to our server log so the enquiry is not lost, and it is deleted once we have acted on it.
Who else sees your information
Two service providers necessarily handle it. Our website hosting provider serves these pages and keeps the request logs described above. Our email delivery provider transmits your enquiry to our inbox. Neither is given your information for their own purposes.
Both are outside Sri Lanka, which means your enquiry is transmitted and stored abroad. If that matters to you, contact us on WhatsApp or by phone instead — those routes do not pass through this website at all.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email for as long as we may reasonably need them — while we are talking to you, and afterwards as a record of what was discussed. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
Your rights
Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 gives you rights over information about you. In practical terms, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information about you we hold;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what we hold;
- stop using it.
Email contact@globalquinn.com and we will action it. You do not need to give a reason and there is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the data protection authority established under that Act.
Changes to this page
If we start using a service that collects anything — analytics, for example — we will say so here and update the date at the top before it goes live, not afterwards.
